Serki has always had a passion for health and fitness. She first started her journey when she accepted a full-ride scholarship to George Mason University in 2005 where she majored in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. After graduating, she took two years off to volunteer and work as a Physical Therapy Aide at various PT settings before pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania.
After completing almost two years of the program and her first clinical, the PT program was not a success and Serki was faced with the loss of her father and the discovery of her mother's diagnosis of stage 4 Ovarian cancer. At that point, Serki returned back to her family in Virginia and began to go through the healing process and rediscovering a new career path.
A few months after her return to Virginia, Serki started working as an Executive Assistant at a non-emergency transportation company. She was able to provide valuable support to the company and was able to acquire unique set of skills from both the operational and business aspect. However, Serki wanted to apply those new skills towards her passion of health and fitness. In her quest, she learned the different healing qualities of massage therapy and quickly enrolled to Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in Falls Church, VA.
Serki then became a licensed massage therapist in 2016 and landed her first job working at a chiropractic office. Later that year she also became a certified Health Coach. After almost a year at the chiropractic office as the Sports Massage therapist, Health Coach and PT Assistant, Serki launched HighKey Balance in 2017 to promote optimal balance within the mind, body and spirit through therapeutic massage and health coaching.

During the first year of HighKey Balance, Serki had the opportunity to work with some of the professional sport teams in the DC area including Coach Patrick Ewing of Georgetown Hoyas. Serki's network and experience in Sports Therapy advanced when she participated in the 2018 NFL combine SportStretch Therapy program in Florida.
That same year, Serki signed her first contract with The Washington Ballet as the team's massage therapist. Soon after Serki's clientele began to diversify ranging from NFL athletes from Redskins and Ravens to coaches and members of local boutique gyms such as Madabolic, Rumble, Nuboxx and Gold's Gym. The following year on December 2019, Serki signed her second sport team contract with the Georgetown Men's Basketball team.
Serki continues to further her craft through various continued education programs. She specializes in deep tissue bodywork consisting of sports massage, myofascial release and cupping therapy. Her work can benefit those suffering with chronic pain, athletes looking to improve performance or anyone seeking to improve overall wellness.
